Proton Premieres New 34-Inch Full-Flat Widescreen HDTV/DTV/NTSC Direct-View Monitor/Receiver
Proton, a leading manufacturer of high-end, high-performance consumer video and audio products premieres the WDT-3601VT 34-Inch Full-Flat HDTV/DTV/NTSC Stereo Widescreen monitor/receiver, with 16:9 and 4:3 picture format selections. The Proton WDT-3401VT is a true multimedia monitor/receiver with a high-resolution digital display and is fully compatible with all 18 HDTV/SDTV picture formats. The WDT-3401VT offers dual component inputs Y/Pr/Pb(15-48kHz) compatible with 15 K Y/Pr/Pb from a DVD player or high-end HDTV/SDTV set-top box for optimum digital TV display. Dual RGB inputs (one rear and one front) for DTV PC or network computer - it displays standard VGA 640x480, SVGA 800x600 and 1024x768 resolutions. The front panel RGB/A/V input allows for easy connection of PC games or notebooks. Also located on the front panel are convenient S-video and audio/video inputs. The WDT-3401 VT features a 181-channel auto-programming NTSC tuner. Auto fine tuning range is +2 MHz, and offers a 60 MHz wide video bandwidth. Horizontal scanning frequency is 15-48 kHz and vertical scanning frequency is 24-100 Hz. The CRTís dot pitch is 0.8 mm. Viewers may choose form three selectable color temperature settings, Standard (6500K), Natural (9300K) and Warm (11500K). Video images of uncompromising brilliance and remarkable detail are enhanced by High DC Restoration, special three line (3D) Digital Comb Filters, Dynamic Black Level Extension and Protonís acclaimed selectable Video Noise Reduction technology. Auto Shut-Off turns the set off five minutes after the TV program stops. The Proton WDT-3401VT also includes built-in four channel closed caption and SAP (Separate Audio Program) decoder. A full-feature remote control offers easy-to-use, on-screen menu programming for all the WDT-3401VTís myriad functions and features. To streamline custom installations, the WDT-3401VT features Protonís proprietary Custom Installation Programmable Microprocessor (CIPM) which offers the system installer direct access to the unitís microprocessor for custom programming of the monitor/receiverís operating functions. Service technicians and custom installers are provided the ability to adjust the analog parameters of the unit with no need to open the rear cabinet. To deliver excellent audio signal reproduction, the WDT-3401VT features a high-quality three-way audio system composed of dual 10 watt biamplified speakers (tweeter and midrange) and dual 18 watt subwoofers, ensures crisp realistic sound is always on tap. A selectable audio effects switch (Stereo, Mono, Extra Bass and Spatial Expansion) allows precise adjustment of sound.
