Sonicís Significant DVDit! Growth

Sonic Solutions reported its financial results for the company's third fiscal quarter ending December 31, 1999. Revenues for the quarter were $5,156,000. Net loss for the quarter, before charges for additional bad debt expense and amortization of warrant premiums in connection with a preferred stock financing, was $1,333,000. Including these charges, net loss was $1,933,000. Revenues for the nine months ended December 31, 1999 were $15,558,000. Net loss for the nine months ended December 31, 1999 was $4,604,000. During the quarter Sonic experienced significant growth in DVDit! revenues. In the December quarter, consumer DVD revenues, consisting primarily of shipments of DVDit!, grew to account for 12 percent of total revenues and grew at a rate of 105 percent from the September quarter.
