The 50th Annual Eddie Awards of the American Cinema Editors (ACE) will present awards for Best 1999 Editing in eight categories of motion pictures, television and documentaries on Sunday evening, February 27, 2000, from the International Ballroom of the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA. ACE President Mark Goldblatt will preside. Star presenters include Adam Arkin, Thora Birch, Jon Favreau, Felicity Huffman, Jane Krakowski, Sharon Lawrence, Michael Mann, Bill Paxton, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Vince Vaughn, Dwight Yoakam and Billy Zane. During the awards ceremony ACE will present Academy AwardÆ-winning filmmaker James Cameron its Golden Eddie Filmmaker of the Year Award. Honorary Career Achievement Awards will also go to Dann Cahn, A.C.E., and Marge Fowler, A.C.E. In addition, a new honorary ACE award, The Robert Wise Award for the critic, reviewer or writer who has best illuminated the creative work of film editing, will go to Jack Tucker, editor of The CinemEditor, the official magazine of the American Cinema Editors. Schwarzenegger will make the presentation to Cameron while former film editor and famed director Robert S. Wise presents to Tucker. Director Delbert Mann will present to Fowler while writer/producer Andrew Fenady presents to Cahn.
