BKSTS Offers Seminar In Projection

The British Kinematograph Sound and Television Society (BKSTS) is offering a seminar titled ""Basic Film Projection"" at Odeon's facility in Burton-on-Trent, London from 9:30am-4:30pm on April 11, 2000. Although the course is designed as an introduction to the basics of film projection for industry newcomers, it may also be of interest to the experienced projectionist. Topics to be covered include film handling, the projector and film path, the light source, platters and automation, lenses and screen ratios and sound systems. The cost for BKSTS members is £40 plus VAT, while for nonmembers it is £65 plus VAT. Coffee and lunch are provided.
