Memorex Accelerates Into The Future With Faster CD-RW And DVD Drives

New CD-RW 8432, CD-ROM 52x And DVD 8x Kit Unveiled At CeBIT 2000

Memorex featured its latest CD-RW and DVD technology at CeBIT 2000. This next generation of high-speed drives is the companyís fastest range to date and was a logical step for the technical market leader. The Memorex Eight-MAXX 400 CD-Rewriter offers speeds of up to 8x4x32, writing at 8x, rewriting at 4x and reading at 32x. It allows users to create, archive, duplicate and save information including MP3 files, digital photo albums or Internet downloads. It comes with Adaptecís software package, Easy CD Creator and Direct CD, which lets PC users create their own data, audio and multimedia CDs on the desktop, making it easy to copy from one CD to another. Memorex will also be demonstrating the latest drive in its DVD range, the DVD-MAXX 840. DVD enthusiasts can view the latest DVD movies and games at 8x speed, and also run CD-ROM applications at 40x, allowing them to install software, play games and music, and run applications and programs. The CD-MAXX 52, the silent and fast 52x CD-ROM drive, will also be on show. It is able to read all major CD formats with a maximum of 52x.
