PS Audio Appoints Peter Rudy President And Chief Operating Officer

PS Audio, a specialist for more than 25 years in developing superb high-performance audio components at reasonable prices, has announced the appointment of Peter Rudy as President and Chief Operating Officer. PS Audio co-founder Paul McGowan, who had served as President, assumes the position of Chief Executive Officer and Chief Imagineer, a title reflecting his commitment to PS Audio's strong emphasis on research and design. This focus has already led to PS Audio's acclaimed Power Plants, a series of superb components designed to improve both the audio and video performance of A/V systems by generating pure AC line voltage; the innovative Lab Cable, a complete power delivery system that can be applied to both AC power and power amplifier outputs; and an upcoming line of new stereo and five-channel power amplifiers notable for their superior transient reproduction, nearly unlimited dynamic range, and effortless, relaxed sound. Mr. Rudy brings to PS Audio a lifelong enthusiasm for audio and electronics, as well as considerable management experience, most recently as Founder and President of the management consulting Rudy and Associates, based in Denver and Vail, Colorado. In addition, Mr. Rudy has been closely involved with PS Audio since its vigorous rebirth in January 1999, and helped the company reacquire its name after it briefly ceased operations in 1998. Mr. Rudy's career has spanned a range of professions, and includes a Masters Degree in Business and Public Administration, as well as a degree in law. In his early days, he served as a photojournalist with Reuters in Northern Ireland and with the Associated Press. Later he managed political campaigns for numerous office holders, including President Jimmy Carter and former Governor Charles Robb of Virginia. An attorney during the '80s, Mr. Rudy served as Assistant Attorney General of Virginia, a position under which he argued a case before the US Supreme Court. Mr. Rudy has represented such clients as United Airlines, Tramell Crow Company, Teledyne, American Express, and Bank of America, and brings a wealth of management and operations expertise to PS Audio.
