IPRO Introduces The Tex Morton Educational Fund

The Independent Professional Representative Organization (IPRO) is pleased to announce the introduction of The Tex Morton Educational Fund. The fund, created by donations from members, manufacturers, and other interested industry supporters, exists exclusively to promote the education, professionalism and quality of IPRO representative firms. ""This fund has been created in honor of Tex Morton, our past executive director who is responsible for much of IPROís current success,"" said Michael Levy, President. ""His dedication and tireless efforts sustained IPRO during its formative years and his legacy is a vibrant organization ready to face the years to come."" Sponsorships to the fund will be applied exclusively to support a portion of the costs of IPROís education programs. Sponsors will be given Associate Member status with recognition at industry events, tradeshows, and at the IPRO Annual Conference. Sponsors will also be kept informed of IPRO activities and educational advantages. IPRO was founded in 1988 for the benefit of dealers, manufacturers, and consumers to improve professionalism within the audioívideo industry. Working closely with organizations such as PARA (Professional AudioVideo Retailers Association), CEDIA (Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association), and CEA (Consumer Electronics Association), IPRO strives to promote these high standards of professionalism through education, ethics, mentoring and certification. For more information about the Tex Morton Education Fund, to inquire about eligibility to join IPRO, or for a referral to an IPRO member, please contact Coleen Sterns at 800 420 4268 or coleen@avreps.org.
