Westlake Audio Introduces New LC3W12V Speaker

Westlake Audio has taken the concept of the traditional bookshelf speaker made popular in the 1960s and redesigned it to offer today's consumers a new three-way loudspeaker system. The result is the Lc3w12V, a bass-reflex design that offers extensive electro-mechanical-acoustical dampening, a time-aligned front baffle, and an integrated crossover with point-to-point wiring that allows for bi-amp or bi-wire operation.Designed as an alternative to the horizontally-configured Lc3w12 professional studio monitor, the Lc3w12V has been created to meet the demands of those with limited space in their listening rooms as well as for multichannel applications, explains Ken Centofante, Sales and Marketing Director for Westlake Audio. The high resolution and compactness of these speakers make them ideal for these types of listeners.""The Lc3w12V (14.5 x 29.5 x 15.5 WHD inches) comprises a 12-inch woofer, a 6.5-inch midrange, and a 1-inch soft dome tweeter with 100/300 LF, 100/250 MF, and 90/220 HF per IEC 268-5 power handling capacity and sensitivity of 91 dB @1M for 2.83 V input. The Lc3w12V's frequency response is rated at 40 Hz-20 kHz with an impedance level of 4 ohms nominal/3 ohms minimum. Amplifier inputs are dual-banana, five-way binding posts with bi-wire/bi-amp capability. At 102 pounds, the Lc3w12V comes finished in North American Black Walnut and includes a five-year warranty.
