Major improvements in Wireworld's popular Atlantis interconnects and speaker cables were announced. The upgraded cables will be the first to utilize Wireworld's new Silver Tube Connector technology. Designated Atlantis III++, the new cables are ready for immediate shipping. The new Silver Tube RCA connectors debuting on Atlantis III++ are the results of extensive new research.""We have designed our own spade lugs and RCA plugs for years in order to insure a great electrical connection"" says David Salz, Wireworld President. ""A good cable can't perform well without an outstanding plug"". Salz recently revisited the plug issue with an eye to making improvements. He added, ""No matter how well a plug performs, a directly soldered connection will always sound better. Until now, no one has really solved the problem of connector distortion. With our silver tube connector we come a lot closer to closing that sonic gap.""The new RCA plug uses a hollow silver plated oxygen-free copper tube for the center pin, which greatly improves electron flow, particularly for high frequencies, according to Salz. This is combined with direct silver-plating for the negative leg, and an attractive new outer barrel to complete the design. Features carried over from the older version include Wireworld's patented Symmetricoaxô geometry for complete control of the electromagnetic field, solid Teflon insulation, and 78 strands of silver plated, oxygen-free copper. The new cable and connector designs are protected by three U.S. patents.Atlantis III++ speaker cable features a new silver spade lug for improved contact area and greater flexibility for custom use. The speaker cable is a Symmetricoax design with 240 silver plated oxygen-free copper strands. The cable is 4 x 12-gauge, designed for discrete bi-wiring or single terminal hookup.
