X-Axis
The common reference to resolution, horizontal luminance transitions per picture height, represents the x-value of the frequency response characteristic: The x-axis measures time, which is the inverse of frequency, and the y-axis is relative amplitude. See Luminance Picture Resolution.
XLR Connector
A type of audio connector featuring three leads, two for the signal and one for overall system grounding. A secure connector, often found on high quality audio and video equipment. Also called Cannon connector.
